Kazakhstan: a recipe for friendship
The rich cultural diversity of the displaced national minorities which live on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan is explored in depth in “A Recipe For Friendship”. Each programme delves into the story of one specific ethnic group. The turbulent history of many of these groups is told in a series of moving stories of how they found their home in Kazakhstan amid the warmth of the local people and how their lives have developed to the present day. The programme tells a story of tolerance, pride, cultural diversity and tradition. With freedom to choose their language, traditions and religion, we find out how each diaspora lives in the uniquely diverse multi-ethnic culture which is one of the hallmarks of cosmopolitan Kazakhstan.
