In 2011 KazakhMys cut cathode copper production by 1.8%
During the reported period, the company produced 304.9 thousand tonnes of concentrate copper against 337.9 thousand tonnes in 2010. Additionally, the production of copper rods estimated at 32 thousand tonnes against 35 thousand tonnes in 2010. In 2011, copper ore extraction reached 33.432 million tonnes against 32.935 million tonnes in 2010.

A report from the KazakhMys Corporation has announced that in 2011, the corporation produced 300.5 million tonnes of cathode copper, which is 1.8% less than in 2010. In the reporting period, the company produced 298.5 thousand tonnes of cathode copper using their own raw material compared with 303.3 thousand tonnes a year before. KazakhMys Corporation is the largest copper producer in Kazakhstan and one of the 10 largest world producers of copper. The group of companies has shares in the production of gold, zinc, silver, power energy and oil. Shares in the company are traded on the London and Kazakhstan Stock Exchanges.
