Astana has witnessed the beginning of the action film festival. Organizers promised the pre-show of the world premiers and a lot of guest film stars. This year such famous Hollywood stars as Steven Seagal and Michael Madsen have become the guests of the festival. Such actors as Sergey Svetlakov, Marat Basharov, Viktor Verzhbitsky, Yekaterina Strizhenova, Yevgeny Stychkin and Dmitry Nagiyev were among the guests. At the festival Dmitry will present the “Two pistols. Evasive brilliant” film, where he is in the lead cast. Nikolai Valuyev is the special guest of the festival. The famous Russian boxer and now the actor present the “Stone Skull” film. The artist Assanali Ashimov, “Kazakhfilm” president Yermek Amanshev, the actress Venera Nigmatullina and others were the special guests of the festival. Guests of the film festival believe that the Kazakhstan cinematography has reached the level when it is possible to say that works of Kazakhstan film directors are high quality and this forum of film is the good ground for the development of the action films in Kazakhstan.

- It is the popularization of Kazakhstan in the world. We have already announced that Kazakhstan is taking seven-big steps. Look, “Kazakhfilm” produces 20 films per year.

- The cinematography is growing. Of course they are not all masterpieces but we are going to it. We are doing everything for the future.

- We are watching your films. You understand that our films are not bought at great sum of money. We should learn and it is the great school for us.

The audience of the film festival will see over two dozens of films from Japan, Korea, the USA, France, Italy, Russia and Kazakhstan. Organizers of the festival will also show a 3D film. The “Returning to A” by Yegor Konchalovsky will open the festival. Moreover, as part of the festival the “Khan Shatyr” cinemas will see the “Bollywood Strikes Back” film and evaluate the “I Saw the Devil” film by Korean cinematographers. Money received from filming will be used for charity.
The festival will also summarize the result of the contest of young directors. The winner will receive a possibility to shoot a film together with Timur Bekmambetov.
