Maksat Galihanovich Urgenshbayev 

Maksat was born in Aktobe. In 2004, he graduated from the Zhubanov Aktobe State University  where he studied in the Journalism Department. 

At the age of 12, he made his television debut as a reporter and presenter of a programme for children called “Simply Us”, which was broadcasted on the Aktobe Channel “Rika TV”.

 1999 – “The Best Entertainment Programme” – “Altyn Zhuldyz” contest. 

2000 – “The Best TV Presenter of Programmes for Young people” – “Young Capital City Through the Eyes of the Youth”. Letters of Gratitude from the Aktobe Regional Governor and the “Nur Otan” Party.

 His favourite form of relaxation is sleeping. Besides this, he likes swimming, stories by Chekhov and American thrillers. In everyday life, he prefers a casual style. He can eat everything except for fatty, spicy and sweet foods. His favourite band is “A-ha”.

 He values decency, responsibility and thoroughness in people. He cannot stand lies and cynicism. Among contemporary TV presenters, he is impressed by the work of Aleksey Pivovarov.

 He has been working for “Khabar” since 2005.
