Steppe Tales presenter Jonathan Newell
Jonathan Newell Born in Carlisle in northern England, Jonathan now shares his time between London and Kazakhstan. Educated at St Gabriel’s Convent, Our Lady’s High School and Loughborough University, he entered the world of journalism in 1995 in printed media before becoming one of the pioneers of internet publishing and is a Director of UK based Carousel Internet Publishing. He has been with Caspionet since 2004, where he is an English news editor, news reader and voice-over reader. He also writes and presents “Steppe Tales”, his own travel documentary series about life in Kazakhstan as seen through the eyes of a foreigner. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, hiking and travelling.
