44 oil and gas fields have been opened in Russia in 2007, 2 of them in Eastern Siberia. A total of 550 million tonnes of oil has been discovered and 670 billion cubic metres of gas. 2007 prospecting gave 120% more silver, 600% more gold and 400% more coal on last year.
