The winners of the 3rd and final stage of Kazakhstan’s speed figure driving have been announced today in Almaty. Figure driving is an event which normally takes place at large arenas with complicated routes. Two cars start the race simultaneously as the so-called duels are much more spectacular. Drivers compete until one takes two wins. If it is a draw, the racers have to hold an extra race. The top three drivers included Valeri Borodin, Vladimir Bakhiyarov and Boris Machkalian.

“Drivers from Almaty, Astana, Karaganda and Temirtau are taking part in the tournament to define who will be the Kazakhstan champion.”

Boris Machkalian from Karaganda won the figure driving tournament, Vitaliy Pastukhov came second with Dmitriy Shulepov from Temirtau finishing third.
