The head of state Nursultan Nazarbayev has paid a working visit to Kyzylorda with the Altyn uya nursery school becoming the first facility that he visited. This pre-school institution was constructed within a year and cost 364 million tenge. The Altyn uya nursery school is situated in the new district of Kyzylorda called Syrdariya. The head of state gave flat keys to 40 families.
The government was able to solve the local housing problem due to the programme of housing construction as part of which people were able to obtain a mortgage loan at 4% interest rates. For example, the one room flat belonging to doctor Usen Rakhmetov will cost him 20 thousand tenge per month without any down payment.

- This flat is very comfortable and is correspondent to European standards. It is very airy and comfortable. We will be very happy in this house and it is very important that all our dreams are coming true.
The head of state also met teachers and got acquainted with the fund of the regional Scientific Universal Library, which stocks about 447 thousand books, including 95 thousand in the Kazakh language.
The new four-storey building will become a favourite place for leisure for the residents of the entire country. It is planned that the library will organize book exhibitions, presentations and literary soirees. In the Tekh Maman centre, the president was told about employment and staff training. As part of the Road Map programme, the centre trained 50 bulldozer drivers, 15 crane operators and excavator operators. The visit of the president to Kyzylorda happened on the eve of the sacred Muslim holiday called Kurban ait. At the Ak-mechet mosque, Nursultan Nazarbayev met with aksakals and congratulated Kazakhstan’s residents on the holiday.

- During the years of our independence, Kazakhstan has witnessed the construction of 2300 mosques. Recently, Astana saw the beginning of the construction of a new mosque for 5000 people. Although we are having discussions about some difficulties, the construction is nonetheless gathering pace. Currently, Kyzylorda is witnessing the construction of 16 new schools as part of the Road Map programme, which cover almost every village. I would like to congratulate everyone on the forthcoming Kurban ait. This day has been declared a public holiday. I would like to wish you happiness, peace and wellbeing.
After Nursultan Nazarbayev had congratulated Kazakhstan’s residents on Kurban ait, he set off to Belarus to participate in discussions on the creation of the Single Customs Union of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus.
