More than two hundred thousand Turks who consider Kazakhstan as home live in our republic for decades. Turkish ethnocultural association "Ahyska" is one of public organisations of Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan.

The length of the electrical network in Kazakhstan is more than 330 thousand kilometers. Distances among the cities are enormous. About 30 % of all electricity is lost during transportation from the stations to remote towns and villages. Energy losing can be avoided is to learn to get energy where it will be used. Kazakhstani scientists patented up to dozen stand-alone power plants.

Gala night was held at the National Opera and Ballet Theater and it was dedicated to 175th anniversary of great Kazakh poet, composer and singer Birzhan-Sal Kozhagulov. Birzhan Sal was welcomed guest in every village last century because of strong beautiful voice, skilful playing on dombra and brilliant improvisation gift.

Musicians with famous on the whole names – Vadim Repin, Maksim Vengerov – were the winners of international competition of young violinists after name of Venyavskiy. In 2009 young Almaty citizen Sherniyaz Musahan has subdued strict jury of the Polish competition and has stood in one row with those well known people.

The minerscall asbestos, unusual mineral as a mountain flax or wool of salamander that lives in the fire. It is divided into two main groups according to external characters and structure: chrysotile asbestos and amphibole asbestos. Chrysotile asbestos is safe, amphibole is banned in the whole world. Zhitikara deposit of chrysotile asbestos is the only one in Kazakhstan.

Funds of the Central State Archive of the Republic consist of more than a half million historical documents. Recently, Kazakhstani archivists presented 400 new documents, dated 16 - early 20th century, a unique collection was newly replenished at the exhibition, entitled "The Returned History".
